if you mean the number of points , they increase as you respond to others discussions . And they also increase due to the replies to the discussions started by you . And if others give you + ratings then also your rating increases . if you mean how mylot pays you then the number of points is the main factor in calculating your earnings . Mylot uses a complex algorithm and we do not know it .

Get past 100 posts Users with a user rating of less than 100 will not yet have myLot reputation calculated, and will therefore have no star next to their name. myLot reputation updates once per day, so most users should see their reputation appear shortly after reaching a user rating of 100. Remember, myLot reputation is determined by the myLot community, and it is cumulative for all user contributions. Therefore, myLot reputation can fluctuate even without a user participating on any given day. In addition, you shouldn’t think of a particular myLot reputation level as necessarily being “good” or “bad”. It just means that a user with a reputation of 8 is generally more highly thought of by the myLot community than a user with a reputation of 5, and so on and so forth. It doesn’t mean that 8 stars means “good user” and 5 stars means “bad user”. Both are valuable members of the myLot community. As you might have guessed, the best way to increase your reputation is by contributing quality topics, responses and comments and avoid posting low-quality content or items that violate the myLot community guidelines. HOPE THIS HELP

Take your mouse slowly on to the star above your icon. the number in the star is your rating out of ten and shows the actually the percent of your reputation on mylot community. Followed? Viewers should mark you a plus rating while they read your postings and responses. higher the admiration by users higher will be your rating. This doesn't effect your earnings. this is even related to your involvement and quality work in mylot. You just make your points 100 first, then you will see the star on to your head till then just relax. cool man! Run fast, make your points 100, check out your rating. You can see my rating running as 7, that is actually 74/100. Mar be it will grow to 8 in the star soon.

If you are very active on mylot then you will get good rating and if you are not active then you will get rated verry low.Your rating also depends on your posts. If your posts get -ve rating your rating will be low and if your posts got +ve rating then they will be high.
