why do people have multiple accounts on myspace

Well I know some people have different myspace pages because they have one where Family is friended and one where family is not friended. Or the friends on each page is different. It makes it easier to say things you want to without the fear of people close to you doubting you or having a change of heart in how they veiw or feel about you. Others have multiple pages for personal reasons or for music. Personally I only have one. Although I have thought about maybe starting another one I don't think I would be dedicated enough to keep up with both. But thas just me.

I have two because I made one for my dog. I guess that's a little lame but I thought it was pretty funny. I love my dogs myspace page!

I don't see anything wrong with it, they have mutliply accounts for a reason and what ever reason it may be, is fine with me. I myself have multiply accounts, so I can't complain.

I've got two myspace accounts but one is for personal and one is for networking my business. Depends if your bored or not. Why don't you direct your friends to this website instead?

yeah myspace is a good site, but some people are so sad. like the people who post blogs about every single thing they do in their life, like anyone cares. i got a friend request from a bottle of milk the other day. myspace used to be alot better before all the EMO's signed up. they are the sadacts

I would like a link to that donut myspace, I could use a good laugh right about now. I really do not see the point in creating multiple accounts for any online community. If someone has another account because they got banned, odds are they will continue to cause trouble. If it is to create another persona for themselves while still having the option to act natural on the other account, that person should really get a hobby and mental help while they are at it. People who do that need to utilize their time better and try to do something relevant.

A friend of mine has two accounts, one if specifically for his music and promoting his music while the other one is more personal and a way to keep in touch with friends outside his hopeful career.

It does not make any sense to have more than one account unless they are trying to pretend to be someone they are not or have bad intentions on a site like that. I think Myspace and other sites should only allow a person to have one account at time. If they want a new account, they need to delete their old one. People do not make sense when they have multiple accounts as there is no good reason for it. Or they should be charged for the multiple accounts to discourage this type of behavior.

Yes I agree with you mate. I also don't understand the importance or rahter use of such an act. But we can't stop them it is their wish so leave it to people's wish. Enjoy your life and be care free buddy.... Don't worry about others. He he he

I have seen people do the same thing.. Its lame and a waste of time.. One account is enough!

I agree, i can understand people making muliple myspace accounts when one if for a band or a project and the other is for them as an individual but to make several spaces with all the same content just shows that these people have too much spare time on thier hands

I have two but that is because one is for my personal info and the second for the music that I play. The music one allows me to run the music side of thing, arrange gigs, talk to other bands etc without bogging down my personal site where my real friends can find me.

some people have good reasons for maybe having more then one account like a personal one and a business one which is perfectly fine. but it is kinda annoying when they have more then one account just for personal use but its the same with people on msn really i know someone that has bout 6 msn accounts.

I have 2 accounts. One is my normal account and the other is a secret sister account that my fellow Marine spouses use. We do a secret sister every month. I use the same account every time.

Yeah, I dont get that either. Why have 3 of the same thing. I know some people who have had to make another because they got hacked.

OMG....fork , donut, water, book...that is too funny....i too have some friends who have multiple myspace acounts....i see no point in that....but they do...i myself just have one....if i ever was to make a nother myspae account i would delete my old one....*smile*

Because they are in serious need of attention and or affection and feel like they are getting that through their myspace accts...so sad ... Thats not the kind of attetion they need send them here its much better for them ...they can get attention plus make a few bucks ... :)

i agree it is very sad that people have multiple accounts, as it is pointless...it would be totoally useless, and therefore sad and a waste of time...total shame people have to resort to this
