I love also this movie. Taking care a child when you are alone is very challeging but if you are retard parent I think you faced many challenges and you struggled more. I remembers a scene when Dakota (I forgot her name there) asked her father Sean Penn about so many things the Father can't answer the questions in a complex answer. Despite so many challenges in they life they survive because of love their shared togehter.

yap i also love this movies,true it also inspires me lots We can see unconditional love in that movie which is become rarely right now :( agree so much, true happiness comes from heart ^_^ I cried so much when the scene showed sean pean brought the birthday cake and fallen apart -- I love their acting, sean pean and dakota fanning just wonderful..

This is one of my favorites too and i liked the idea of how a daughter was happy and never got ashamed of her father... It's a nice movie for those who want to be a lawyer. It's inspirational, an educating film, it's for parents who have an abnormal kid too or the other way around... It's about unconditional love, and for me, it's like living a life as normal as you could even if it's real hard. And what makes it harder is raising up your own father at a very, very, very young age.

i cannot agree more. this is one movie which makes me cry everytime i watch it. it did not interest me at first, but when i got to see it, it became an instant favorite. i really recommend this movie, very heart wrenching and inspiring. a very fine performance by sean penn and dakota fanning.

It is indeed one of the best movies ive watched, yes it made me actually tear at times. Abit too dramatic some would say but i think it was beautiful. Sean penn acting was brilliant so was little Dakota Fannings'. Makes you appreciate and realise how lucky we are to be 'normal'

Yeah,I loved it too. Goes to show you don't have to be"normal" to love and raise your kid.
