I think life today is being more ruled by technology. People today are interested in chatting online, and they catch up with more friends that they can imagine. Those days the most distant friendship was having a pen-pal. Today's virtual friendship is more of a time pass? Because of wireless phones friends take things for granted. More time's spent in talkin over the phone than face-to-face. Are such relationships a hobby or are they genuine?? As more time passes by, is relationship bound to get more worse? How many found in chat rooms are there for real friendship? and how many are there for flirting? and how many phonies are there? and how many are misusing such conveniences??..In short, are there any reals in this virtual world?

through sites like orkut ive been able to find friends ive lost touch with over the years because they left the country or were migrating and not sure of their new address. its nice to catch up with them although since they are far away im not sure if i will ever meet them.
i keep in touch with my friends who come to visit only once a year or in 2 years by mail and that helps us to keep updated with whats happening in each others lives.
as for friends who live here we talk on the phone and meet when we are all free.
there are many phonies out there but the net and phone also brings people closer than before
