I am not sure where the topic is that Mylot started about the star ratings. I would post the link for you if I knew. What I can tell you is that the star ratings on Mylot are an indication of how other users here on the site rank us. You know the little plus, minus and ! mark by each post on the site? Well, if we get more plusses, our star rating will go up. If we get minuses, our rating can go down. Some people are pretty upset because people seem to be going around the site marking some people with minuses just because they don't like them, or for spite, which is something that my own rating has suffered from (I think) and I don't know what I even did to offend anyone. I just know that I lost a lot of points in the space of a day or two, and it really hurts, because I really do try to be helpful, friendly, and post good answers.
Anyway, I would not worry too much over losing one point out of 100 by your name. Your star should not change to an overall lower rating until your points go down much more than that, which hopefully will not happen! ^_^

Well you have given me a very helpful, indepth answer. So not only do you get a plus ( I give everyone a plus unless they are being downright hateful), you get best response!
I hope that helps to bring your rating back up!
