When I was 14-17 I was on my cell phone all day non stop. Now that im 19 I only use it if I have too. My parents use to complain that my cellphone was attached to my ear but now I just dont really feel the need to talk so much. Do you think that you can grow out of your cell phone like I did?

I think you are gaining independence...from your friends. The reason why teenagers talk so much on the phone is because they need to get approval or advice from their friends. Have you ever found yourself thinking "I wonder what so and so would do about this?" and then call them in the middle of a decision making situation? Every thought a teenager has needs to be shared with their friends. Its just all part of puberty and that stage. Your friends and their thoughts mold you and you mold them. Now you feel more independent and probably more secure about your decisions that you dont feel like you need validation for them. I dont know...I might be way off, but that is what i think. Celebrate your independence!!!
