Wading in the brook...

Brook - A clear brook.

When I was a pre-schooler, I used to wade in the brook. I enjoyed playing there, getting shells, splashing water with playmates, swimming, catching fish, etc. How about you? Have you gone to a brook?

Sure! I grew up in a subdivision which is near a brook and my friends and I used to go there to swim and we tried catching fish with just our hands and of course, we did not catch any LOL!

I'm now old but yes, when we were young, we were very happy playing, splashing water to each other, now just memories of the past.

We played there in a brook also when I was still a child. Have not gone there for a very long time now.

I've always loved the water, there's something so relaxing about it. When I was young we lived very near a brook/stream. My mother always told me not to go near it. I know even though it was shallow she was concerned something would happen. I did anyway and always felt guilty and afraid Mom would find out but I still enjoyed it. Today at 51 I still dream of someday living where there in a brook on my property that I can go and set by to read, pray, or wad.

Brook or stream, whichever? - Nature is beautiful
I love any body of water whether it be brook, river, stream, lake, sea or ocean. Just like you i enjoyed my childhood days a lot because there is a river behind our home and it is clear and flowing. But those were days which I thought would never end but they did. These days... that river is polluted and stagnant. I am no longer living in that place for I have moved to another village since I got married. But I still visit that place because that is where my ancestral home lies. Every time I look at the river I could not help but be sad. How could man ever destroy nature? I don't know what they did to that river that I used to love?
