If we could write a manual about parenting what would we put in it? Include all of the tips and ideas you can think of. I think we should post an online manual for parents. Be humorous, be serious, just be honest.

this is a great idea! well with me there are a few things i have learned with my 4 month old son. 1. If you get a hot meal....your lucky! 2. you learn to do everything(even type and eat) one-handed. 3. One of my aunts told me that if i need to wake him up for a feeding to change his diaper, well that didnt work, he slept through the whole changeing!! 4. Where you once believed you were fearless, you find yourself afriad. 5. Your heart breaks much more easily. 6. You become a morning person. 7. Everyday is a surprise. 8. Bodily functions are no longer repulsive. In fact they please you. (Horray for poop!) 9. You know longer rely on a clock - your baby now sets your schedule. 10. Silence? What's that? 11. You respect your body....finally! 12. You find that your baby's pain feels much worse than your own. there is a few. number 4-12 i got off of babycenter.com

I am not sure what I would really want to put in it . But some advice I would give to firt time parents would be that when they are cutting teeth just remember that there are only so many of them that they can get , so the crying will eventually end . They are only little for a very short time so spend as much time with them as you can because before you know it you will be looking at them and wondering where the time went . Take as many pictures as you can because it is amazing how much they change in such a short period of time . Be sure to let your child know how much you love them and be sure to have a good relationship with them , let them know that you will always be there for them and they can come to you about anything in life . Be sure to take the time to listen to what you children have to say . I could go on with this lists forever but those are some of the things I would say .

Wow, what an awesome idea. This would be something I'd check out everyday. I could use all the ideas I could get with a little humor thrown in. My one thing I found to be true in my limited parenting experience of only 8 years is that the curse my mom put on me when I was younger is now coming true. Whenevver I was doing something that was driving her up the wall she always said, "Someday I hope you have a daughter and she does this to you too!". Well, she must have had some kind of magic power because my daughter is now doing a lot of the same things I did. Now I'm hoping this power was hereditary and can't wait to bless mydaughter with the same "curse" LOL..
