If he's not he could well be by the time he retires. He still has to win all grand slams in one year to equal Rod Laver's achievement. And has to win a few more grand slams to catch Pete Sampras, but he has time on his side. I belive he will go down in history as the greatest tennis player ever. Good luck to him, he is a gentleman, and a worthy champion.

I think it's a bit premature to call him the greatest ever. You never know what might happen, he could get injured or bored even and lose some of his ambition. Clearly he is the best player at the moment and if he continues in the form he has shown over the last few years he will go down as the greatest player ever. But, he still has some things he has yet to achieve - like winning the french open and all four slams in one year - so I dont think he can be given the title of greatest ever until that happens.

In my opinion he's well on the way. Just broke Sampras' record for number of weeks as number one.

He has already been number one for a few years, and I think he is even better this year. However, only time will tell.
