Is it true that a cat falling down from a certain height does not get killed but manages to not even get hurt?

Hello Eiloin, I think that cats can fall and not get hurt as long as they can land on their feet (well, paws)! I don't know what that height is but I could go outside and try for you if you want, just a little experiment!! I'm only joking, please don't anyone get the idea that I'd be cruel to animals.

I was thinking the same Ginangee, and I would never ever try any such an experiment to any living creature :):) I respect life much more than that.

i also think that if cats can land on their feet they will be ok. i once and a cat that got stuck in a tree fell asleep and fell out it was just over 2 feet it landed on the porch got up and shook it off and acted as nothing happened. i do believe however it does depend on how far up thy are

I have three cats and I also have a loft, which each and every one of them has fallen from. I have 9 ft. ceilings on my first floor so I figure with falling from the loft they fall about 15 feet or so. And they have landed on their feet and none of has been hurt. They have scared themselves and are now very careful when up in the loft.
