Here is one of the most convincing theories. Source; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serbian_Origins The Sarmatian Iranian/Pastun Tribe theory; Byzantine Emporor Constantine VII refered to the Serbs as "Sarban", the Sarbans are a Pashtun tribe that is from Afghanistan. Could the Pashtun Sarbans be the ancestors or relatives of Sarmatian Serbs? They well could be because looking at the world map there are several villages/cities that have Serb toponyms, many in russia all across the map, a city name Sarbala in Afghanistan and Russia and Pakistan! (displayed picture). There are many more if your search the many toponyms on www.travelpost.com. More Examples: Serbiya, Russia. Serbilovo, Russia. Serbin, Russia. Srbsko, Czech Rep.
