At my country, I've heard many stories about people impersonating as salesman and robbed somebody's house... murdered the tenant...
Even though nothing has happened like that in my own neighborhood, I am always cautious about salesman who comes to my front door.
I never believed a salesman because the person is somebody I don't know. Why should I believe a stranger?
So that's why when I salesman comes to my house, I would refuse to buy his things and I don't even open my key locks.. it is frightening to open up to a stranger...lol...
Well, that's my opinion on this matter... lol...

I agree. In offices it is very often that salesman climbed up and entered the office without permission. In an office where I've worked, salesman prefer to get in during tea break around 10 a.m. During this time, many workers prefer to stay inside the office. Most of us didn't like to go out because tea breaks are short. So we make drinks from the pantry and hang around friends in the office.
To me the salesman strategy was quite aggressive because the way they persuade us is like: "if you don't buy I won't go out from your office" lol...

I somehow agree with you ladysurvivor. I too never give a chance for them to even promote their goodies. Frankly speaking to them "i'm sorry, i don't want to hear anything and buy anything". You know, here some good example at my working place. Somehow this salesperson already step in into the office and approach individually. Then my boss, come out and shout to that person "get out you, now bla bla bla (don't remember)". For awhile, that person arguing something cause i can see like he do speak to my boss with weird action. Then he go. After that i go to my boss and ask about it, he tell me, that person just leaving when he threaten him with calling the police. See how bad they are :)

i hate when sales people come to the house, i never usually have the money to purchase what ever it is that they are offering but i say yes and buy anyway. Its not just that i feel sympathy its just that i have a very hard time saying NO.. same thing with telemarkters i know i can just hang up the phone but then i feel guilty about doing so because i know they are just doing there job.

What are you doing if the thing which he bring to sale is expensive than your budget?

I hate it when people come to my door selling things. I almost always say no and that I'm busy. When I am home I do not want to be bothered. I also do not like people calling me selling stuff - even donations. We are on the do not call list , but still get calls from groups asking for donations.

If a salesman comes to my door, I try to be as nice as I can. I understand that they're just trying to make money to support themselves. I'm kind to them, but I usually never buy anything. I just don't like buying stuff from people when it's unsolicitied unless it's like some girl selling girl scout cookies.
