Nirvana were one of the best bands ever, Bleach was what they would call underground grunge then Nevermind was Alternate Rock, Incesticed was punk and In Utero was grunge.

I don't consider Nirvana punk, but that's my opinion. I think they are more of a grunge type, but definitely not pop rock.

I think Nirvana is grunge. Kurt Cobain was one of the great examples of grunge. Very unique sound, i love it.

My very favorite band of all time. Not many albums can I say I like every song. Never have they dissapointed me. I think in their earlier days they were punk. They totally evolved into what I would call grunge. I think he was heavily influenced by punk and rock.

nirvana? they were all three, labelled grunge becuase of the scene they came out of(seattle). They had a classic punk rock mindset and if you stripped away the heavily distorted guitars that were tuned down to "d" classic poprock songs that john, paul, george and ringo would have be proud of.
