I used to play piano, I had lessons in school when I was in the first grade and I had a private piano teacher during the summer of my first grade. But unfortunately, I kinda forgot how to play the piano now. I really regret that I didn't pursue my piano lessons and continue practicing. I tried to play once again a couple of years back but it was hard. What instrument do you play?

I have took some piano lesson 5 year ago and I but I kinda stop the piano lesson because of my university entrance exam. I also kinda regret it and if I given a chance I will not stop at that time. Too bad I don't have much time to learn it now and hopefully I be able to find it in the future. My skill were rusty and I kinda forget all song that I know. If you want to re-learn piano it is not hard since you already learn it before and it is similar to swimming. once you know it you alway know it, you might not notice but sub-consciously your body still remember how to play the piano and it call muscle memory.

I hope so.. cause last time I tried to play was like 3 years ago, and even at that time it was already hard for me, I kinda had to refresh my memory and try to remember how I learned it before. Especially notes, I really am not good at notes even when I was still having lessons, so it was kinda confusing since I already forgot what I have learned. I try playing and it seemed okay after a couple more practice but when I'm to play using both hands, I just go crazy.. ahah!

To be honest I hate those tadpole (music note) too. I can't read the music note very well and I always count from middle "C" onward to get the note right. luckily I had come across a piano software that can read from midi file (midi files is computer notation for music) and convert it to music sheet and not only that it also show which key to press. Too bad I forget what the software call. I din't take it with me when I move to australia and now it probably still sitting in my parent house.

I play the piano too so is my four other siblings do. But when I went to college, I wasn't able to play a piece since I can't find any pianos here. Although there's one at the museum, I need to furnish some papers and pay in order to use it. I wish I could play it again, I have gone far with my lessons and it seems that I have retrograded. In the future, I guess. I'll buy myself my own piano.

It's good that you still know your piano skills, I've kinda forgot mine. Oh well. Goodluck! On your piano, I bet you'll get one in the near future.

Yeah when i was in school i use to play tabla . Playing tabla was fun & cool as i liked the differnt sound that were produced when my fingers struck tabla, and learning new musical notes from music teacher was fun. But i relly enjoyed palying mouth organ and flute i got as gifts when i was kid. sadly didn't master both as there was no one tot each. Hopefully it would be nice if i learn to play it properly in future.

i play man instruments...but my major instrument is the guitar(the classical guitar...)...i kind of self studied my knowledge of instruments...i play : -guitar(since i was at 5th grade...i learned through watching at other people and reading guitar books...) -violin(only a bit...because my friend is a violin boy...well he taught my the basic things you need to know in playing violin...and finally...i somewhat learned it) -drums(i only know the basic ones...and as usual...it's only a self study thing that i do to learn) -bass guitar(almost all guitarists play this instrument...yet it's different in some aspects..) -piano(studying in a conservatory of music that requires knowledge in playing piano...forced me to study this...but...i didn't go to my piano lessons...i just don't know why...i learned this instrument...through watching my classmates play...most of my friends are piano majors....but really...nobody taught me...now i'm forced to go to my lesson because i need to take my piano exams...).. :)

oh wow. i love seeing people who plays the guitar well since i can't. i envy them. and goodluck. hope you get enough payment to buy yourself a guitar. it's not that easy and yet, it's not that difficult, too. you'll earn the money that you need here and you'll see, it's worth it when you already have your guitar on your hand. goodluck!

When my daughters were in grade school I had them both start lessons on the piano. At that time I also took lessons. I enjoyed it so very much. I want to do it again and one day I will get another piano. My daughters now are learning violin and banjo. They both played the viola after learning the piano. I hope you will go back and take lessons again. I plan to do the same. Good luck!

i started playing guitars at 2nd year in high school, i used to borrow from friends just to be able to play..When i joined the choir i got the chance to play the keyboards. Last 2 years, we started to formed a band, i originally i play the keys but ended playing the bass when our drummer left the band and started a family. I can also play drums from certain songs. Me too used to play piano in my childhood, let me tell you one thing that I didn't take any class of piano at that time. During that time, my cousin bought new piano of Casio and he used to tell me how to play piano. From him, I got a lesson how to play piano...Right now , I used to play Guitar in my leisure time..

I used to play piano. I used to get scared of recitals, and my teacher kind of intimidated me, so I stopped. I still play every once in a while, usually just at Christmas time.

haha! The thing is, when I was taking piano lessons back when I was a first grader, I was also supposed to have a recital after the 24 sessions ends, but then I was too scared to do it and I quit.. haha.. she was telling me to play 12 days of Christmas for the recital and that time I just felt like it was a very long song that I got really afraid and intimidated.. So funny when I think back on it..

I play several instruments. I taught myself to play the drums and was a drummer for a few years at a local theater. I play guitar (classical, folk and electric). I had some guitar lessons when I was 10, then taught myself the rest. Then in college I took classical guitar and continued to study it after school. When I was in first grade, I took piano lessons. I never was great at the piano, however, and never played it too well. In grade school and high school I played the trumpet in marching band and orchestra. A neighbor taught me how to play the ukelele. I taught myself how to play the violin and cello, but only played them for a short time.

Wow,you can basically play 5 to 6 instrument. That's great, even if it's just the basics, well that's where you start anyway so you can improve any of them anytime you want.

I knever took lessons to play the keyboard.I remember back when I went to school I really love music classes but we were poor and my mom could not afford an instrument so I learned to read notes and I knew what the lines and spaces were lettered I ask Mrs.Riggs my music teacher if I could take home the music book from school and yes she gave her permission .At home we had 2 old pianos and Lordy they were really out of tune, but I practiced on them every day and my first song that I learned how to play was Home on the Range I still play today but not that often I don't claim to be professional at it but hay it sounds good to me I just recently got a Lowery Organ gave to me and I started playing again.I remeber a very dear dear friend of mine who taught me to play OH Happy Day this lady was very handicapped in her hands from poilo I love this lady and she is resting in peace now

Good for you, I think it's basically cause a lot of people learned or took lessons when we were really young, like we never really knew the significance of learning an instrument so we just let it pass and forgot all about it. Good for you you played when you were already in 6th grade.

Well I had a guitar back then yet I haven't really learned to play it, maybe you can start by practicing on the major chords, then you'll progress from then on..
