The night is long to the wakeful, a distance of ten miles is ling to the weary; the road of life and death is long to fools who do not know the truth. A wayfarer who does not find anyone better or equal should firmly go alone' there is no companionship witl a fool. A fool who is conscious of his folly is thereby wise; the fool who thinks himself wise is the one to be called a fool.

Have you ever read Umberto Eco Foucaults Pendulum, I thought of it when I read this discussion he talks about fools,morons and cretins.
