Has anyone else come on here at any given time and found themselves at a loss for something to respond to? I mean actually having to work just to find a decent conversation to respond to?

YES!! I thought I was the only one. :) Sometimes the topics are very off the wall or you can tell people just start discussions that have no meaning at all. I'm also amazed that the ones that have ALOT of responses. I guess during those times, I start my own discussions or reply back to people on ones I've already started. Sorry you are experiencing this as well.

Good to know I'm not the only one. I am pretty sporadic on starting discussions as I try to be somewhat original. Though, not and then, I do rehash an old topic just to see if we get any new feedback or thinking maybe the regular users have changed somewhat.

I have had the same problem. I don't want to respond to topics like "which do you like better Coke or Pepsi. I want to talk about real things. I want to talk about things that mean something not just to me but to others. I'm not here to see how many items I can respond to in the least amount of time. If something is worth writing about it is certainly worth spending time answering in an intellegent manner and trying your best to watch your spelling and grammar when answering said questions. Their are a lot of people here just to see how many quick discussions they can start and how many quickie answers they can give. Sometimes not giving any relevent answer to said discussion.

I do sometimes, that is when I go to my friends list and start going through some of their discussions.

Oh, this is me most nights! LOL You should've been here... what? Two months ago? Things have changed a lot around here and we used to see the same old boring stuff over and over and over again. A lot of "this or that" type questions and it was really difficult finding something of worth to respond to. I'm still having a hard time, though. Most of the discussions I skim through just don't interest me and I have no clue what I would say. Ah well... Such is life.

No, I guess I haven't changed much. I changed my location, though! LOL Dunno why I got best response. I don't think I'm all that deserving of it in this discussion. Oh well. I ain't complaining. I didn't even notice until I came here to see what you said. LOL

Yes, I don't know if it really is a lack of topics, or my mood. Somedays I have no problems and others I can search as long as a half of an hour looking for something. It's odd.

yes i have this problem a lot. i only respond to posts that i have a decent answer for, or actual knowledge of. the ones that drive me crazy are the obvious copy/paste ones. ive even seen one where someone just typed out what the box of a bottle of aspirin says!!
