I dont use a bar of soap as i think they dry my skin out too much. I like a liquid soap for washing my hands and a shower gel in the bath.

most soaps contain over 50% foaming agent. this can dry out the skin. often though, liquid soaps and shower gels are just as bad. some companies use less foaming agent, like Lush.

I use Life Buoy Gold. But you will be surprised to note that my friend is using Rin Soap(detergent) from his childhood and even now his hair is black, thick and shiny.

Lush. they do lots of really fantastic soaps, and my favourites are probably Figs and Leaves, Alkmaar, Gratuitous Violets and Honey I washed the Kids. they use less foaming agents than most soap, so they are less drying and have more room for lots of lovely natural ingredients.
