do you guys out ther agree with this? i say so as ive met lots of guys who associate baldness to old age . even read in the papers that a recent study on balding men suggests that they place high importance to hair, n wud be willing to exchange a very valuable possesion for it! do you think so? let me know wat you all think.

it has something to do with the genes. the probability of men going bald is higher than the probability of women because two genetic combinations in males would have baldness as their phenotype. in the case of females, only one genotype would make them go bald.

I don't feel that way about balding men, I don't think it is a sign of aging, but just a genectic trait. But, my husband's hair is starting to thin and he is not happy about it. He has told me that it usets him and when it thins too much he is going to shave it all off.

i don't think that it is the only sign of old age. whitening of hair, balding etc are the signs of old age but these are the symptoms of the youth also . now a days youths are also getting into these kind of problems. so this cannot be considered as sign of old age. i don't think that valable possession exchange will solve the matter. this is a problem which will come whatever u do. this is not a temporary problem.

I don't think it relates to age. My husband is losing his hair and started doing this in his mid 30's.
