How much do you normally tip when you go out to eat? What about when you get your hair done? Do you leave 15% .. more or less?

As a standard I usually tip 20%. Having waiting waited table and since I live in a beach community, I know that the servers at least where I live, ae often over looked and undertipped. Hair dresser, hat varies. Depending on what I am getting done, I do try to tip 20%, unless my hair is a disaster, or I am buying alot of product. When it comes to my hair and my food, I want them to remember that I care about the service they provide. Just a side note, not every server has been good. When they haven't been they get 10% and I generally never go back. My hair is another story, I won't leave until I am happy, or my hair falls out. Whichever comes first.

I try to be good to my servers. My mom was a waitress for many years and I know what a hard job it is being on your feet all day serving people. I always leave more than I should - someone once told me to take the TAX and multiply it by 2 and that should be your tip. My cell phone has a cool tip calculator on it so that helps me now. I have a hard time with my hair dresser though. I never know how much to tip her. I pay $130 to get my hair done. I don't know if I leave her too much or not enough.

I worked as a cocktail waitress and it was really hard! Some nights I would get a $20 dollar tip omg I was in heaven! So I always try to tip really good! Always over 20%
