The iodea that number thirteen is unlucky is a mere superstition. This is the most unexplaind superstitiopn too but highly observed one. In one way or another this is observed by many, many hotels do not have 13th floor, where count goes from 12 to 14. some hotels do not have room number 13. There are many fdifferent ideas about origin of this belief. some experts believe it was considered unlucky since the time man learned to count.
