Florida is enriched in minerals, it ranks #5 in USA mineral production.
We have limestone, calcite, dolominte, etc. Many rare crystals exisit within our caverns.
Follis hunting in Florida is easy. Many important fossils have been found here, some worth tons of money. Check out the fossils on ebay! :)
Florida sits on a huge plate of limestone. The limestone is mined and used for our roads. You can walk up to any pile of limestone and pull out numerous fossils. :)
to hold an animal that once lived a million years ago, is so awesome!
try it out, see what you can find! :)

That's really cool. I live in Mass. and I have also found fossils. I haven't looked for them in years. But when we were kids we used to look and find them alot. I have a really cool fossil of a fern, and a snail. Thanks for renewing my interest, it's something to do when walking in the woods too. Happy hunting. Here is a link about fossil hunting if anyone is interested in learning more.

It sounds wonderful although Shrek won't go to America as he thinks he'll get shot in Disney land or where ever we stop so I guess I'm not going to get to try it. He heard about some english people getting shot at a couple of years ago and it put him off.
We often get little fossils off our beach although it is better in yorkshire on the coast.
