My daughter is in 11th grade and is considering going to art school when she graduates. We live in PA and she's looked at quite a few of the ones around us. Can anyone recommend a good art school on the Northeast Coast, preferably still in PA. She doesn't want to do a lot of traveling to get there, and we'd rather her be able to come home occasionally for weekends.

I think that PAFA (Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts is probably the very best. And your daughter would also have the option of doing her academics at Penn which is nice. However, I've talked to people who graduated from PAFA in the last 20 years or so and I think that most of the students there are older now days so it is not so much a college atmosphere as young people might want. Still it's a fabled school and some of the very best American artists went there.
