Since this is a site where we have people from around the world I would like to share and understand the behaviour of politicians. I want to find out if the politicans are the same all over the world or is it just in countries like India which are developing countries that you get such people. The Politicians in our country seem to be a breed apart, they step into politics from four sources. 1. Criminals who have entered politics so that they get a platform to conduct their anti social stuff under the protection of the government. 2. Union activists who need the umbrella to further their cause. 3. Children or relatives of existing politicans and 4. people who are genuinely interested in the welfare of the people although the last category is the least. With the execption of the last category all the others enter politics as ordinary earning people but when the have spent a few years in this PROFESSION, they have millions of rupees and dollars stacked in banks and places all over the globe.

Yes, I understand that. Its true in India, people are coming to politics from those categories only. I don't know about other countries but I think 2, 3 and 4 options are valid for all other countries too. Why I left out the option 1. Just check it out by yourself, do you really think that could happen except India. "It happens only in India" In spite of all these, I truly proud to be an Indian. I love my country, its wonderful country. See, not a single country is perfect. All are having some problems or other. We are improving a lot in many areas. Jai - Hind
