What if you fall on love to someone who is not free?

Love is fool.. SOmetimes blind.. Love conquers all but what if "You fall in love to someone who is not free, yet both of you love each other? I'm on that situation today and really confused...

Im in the same situation right now. Im still in love with my ex. He tells me that he still loves me but we both are aware that this will lead to nothing because we both have obligations. Its hard and it sucks big time but we both cant do anything about it.
