i would have preffered jermaine jackson to win. i think he was an inspiration to me. i loved the way he handled things, nothing rattled him , he had a quiet confidence and peace about his person . he should have won .

although i am from India, I too wished that jermaine jackson should win, for his calm behaviour and good naturedness. Either ways, I would appreciate the efforts made by shilpa shetty too.. she proved that people from India tend to be more sober and peaceful

Hi Monkeynuts, I only watched the first episode of this years big brother and decided I couldn't stand that guy (can't even remember his name) the one who was so rude and made himself look a right idiot when he first went in there. It's good that Shilpa won, although I'm not quite sure if Channel 4 swung it for her so they wouldn't be investigated. Do you think she would have won if she hadn't been a subject of bullying and all the intense media interest?

thanks bizziebod. the one you couldn't stand was donny. he thought he was sid vicious or something. yeah, think you are right, it was easier all round for c4 if shilpa won but was gald in a way as it showed to a lot of kids (and some adults) that bullying doesn't get you anywhere in life.

I watched the program for the first time last night. Shilpa was absolutely sweet! The shock and joy on her face when it was announced was lovely to see. She spoke very well of her experience and also of the controvosy with Goodey. She stated quite clearly that it was not racialism but terribly bad manners. Having seen clips of the confrontation I have to agree with Shilpa. A worthy winner!
