I think he is way out of line.

Simon is 100% hilarious. I don't always agree with him where some of the better singers are concerned, but the ones who suck definitely shouldn't be surprised about his comments. This show has been on for 6 years now. I'm pretty sure people have a pretty good idea what Simon's personality is like. It's simple, if you can't handle the possibility of getting that kind of criticism, don't try out.

I am often awestruck by his critizicm. Why does he have to be so crule to some of the contestants? I think it is his way of getting more people to watch just to see what he has to say. It's all in the ratings. Where do some of these people get the idea they can sing anyway? And the way they come on dressed and how they act. I guess if they are going to subject themselves to such ridicule they derserve what they get.

i agree with simon about 95% of the time. The only times I get a little "iffy" with him is when he attacks the way someone looks. I don't like that because these people can't help the way their genes are arranged...that would be their parents' fault. that is the ONLY thing that gets on my nerves about him. I also see that he is nicer at the beginning of the auditions each week and then about 1/2 way thru the day he starts getting ruder and ruder. He may be nicer to a person at 8am that really sucked than he is to a person at 4pm who didn't suck quite so bad. LOL

I agree with you pat, he is hilarious. He can be pretty harsh at some times but its just constructive criticism. If people suck that bad they need to be criticized. THANKS!

I would hope that they don't hire those people who are that horrible. I firmly believe there are people out there who feel they're talented enough to be on American Idol and win....but suck so badly.

I think Simon is something and he just likes to say it like it is. I don't see anything wrong with that at all.

I dont think he is very funny. I know I could do a better job putting those losers down. It is not very hard to do. When someone is that bad, it couldn't be easier. I think they hire those people to perform on the show though. Does anyone believe that as well? THANKS!
