A Mervyn Peake thread

I love the Gormenghast books and the BBC TV adaptation was pretty good too. I love the dickensian language of the novels and the gothic overtones. Anyone want to wax lyrical with me about all things Mervyn Peake. (I guess the name is a bit of a give away...)

Sure is - I read these too long ago and adored them - its a fantasy world that is quite unique - move over Tolkien and Harry Potter. I also have a book of Mervyn Peake's Writings and Drawings - pretty wild! I hop you will get many responses to this here but somehow - I doubt it.

thanks for joining in, I knew it would be a slow topic, but I'm gald that there is at leat one person out there who also appreciates his dark and unique fantasy world. Havent got W&D will have to hunt that down.
