I grew up in the suburbs during my childhood years. The convenience of the suburbs is that you are close enough for a day trip to the city but far enough to be away from the noise, taffic and chaos of the city. In college I lived in the country for the rist time and I fell in love with being so close to nature and having lots of space. Now I live on a 3 acre farm in Oregon and I love it!! Tell me about where you live?

Now i am living in city but i prefer to live in countryside, it's silent there and more peaceful, and the fresh air will let me have a very good mood.

I live in the country on a farm. I grew up on the farm when I was little, and now I get to take care of it. I love the quietness of the nature, and the fact that there's really not many neighbors. I have 89 acres of fields and woods to roam around on, which is really small by farm standards. The road in front of my house has a lot of traffic anymore, but in the back where the fields are you can't even hear the traffic or anything...just silence and nature. I'm close enough to get to a city when I want, if I want to drive half an hour, and there's many small towns for shopping. Living in the country is a different lifestyle, I love it! It's my little slice of heaven.

It sounds like a wonderful place to live. We are on about 3 1/2 acres with a horse barn, grape vineyard and a large tree orchard that bears all kinds of fruit. The property is gated all around so our 4 kids can roam safely around the property. We live in the Willamette Valley in Oregon there are lots of farms and the grass and trees are beautiful and green nearly allyear long. The funny thing is that we live in the country but we are just minutes from the main shopping center in our small town.

Over the years I've lived here there and everywhere. Way back to high school years though I've wanted and preferred living in the country - I like my privacy and not having someone looking in my windows every minute. So, where do I live now? Right smack in the middle of town and I love it.. Ok, it's a very small town but I am on a busy street and the traffic noice gets annoying at times but I love being within walking distance of everything: church, stores, library, McDonalds, parks. I may however have to move in the near future, landlord selling my house - maybe I'll come live with you in the country, it sounds dreamy :)

We'd love to have you here!!! I have really fallen in love with the country. As a kid that grew up in the "burbs" getting use to the open space of the country was a pleasant adjustment. I feel so much closer to nature...and the city !! we are only minutes from the town center...it is really the best of both worlds.

I was born in London but spent most of my life living in a fairly small town (pop. 20,000). I liked the rural area because of the peace and quiet but there was little to do there as I was groing up. I now live in the suburbs and am close enough to the city to take advantage of all it offers but just far enough away to be able to forget about it when I chose to. I would love to live out in the country in the future when I can afford a house that is so nice that I won't want to leave it. ;-)
