I just loved them both. Even now that i'm married, i still favour these nursery rhymes. It brings lots of sweet memories to me. I hope it has the best of memories for all of you too.

I like Baa Baa Black Sheep I always sing it too even now I don't have kids. I remember the first time my English teacher taught me that rhyme, she made funny gestures and drew a black sheep on the white board :)

I dont remember my mother singing those to me. however i sing them to my daughter and i hope the memories stay with her. She really like rock a bye baby though. have you heard the new version ? Rock a bye baby on the tree top, when the wind blows the cradle will rock, when the bough breaks the cradle will fall, mommy will catch you cradle and all. I guess that's a little easier for a kid to grasp then, when the bough breaks the cradle will fall baby and all. lol. that IS KIND OF SCARY!

Yeah, i've heard of the old versions. Even my sister-in-laws sung the song to my nephews. The new version, haha..good one though!

I loved them both too. However, lately i sung twinkle-twinkle more often since my niece like it so much. She's just 1 year and a half old. So whenever she started crying, i'll sing the song to her to make her quite. And best of all, it works almost all the time (except when she's really hungry).

I think besides the song, must be your voice that is soothing to her ears. Well, nothing beats the oldies of nursery ryhmes.
