dan brown's da vinci code ... the way novel carried it suspense is the thing i liked the most

Indeed, that's what I have heard, too. I am currently crazy about Dean Koontz's novels. I have practically read all of his books.

Try some of his older novels for starters. "Cold Fire", "Darkfall", False Memory" are some of his best works (to me anyway!). He is one author whose novels transcends several genres. Suspense, murder, supernatural, science fiction, love, drama...and it goes on. Tell me what you think, after you have read one of his books.
