Do girls really like flowers as a present?

Flowers are pretty, but they are gonna dry and sooner or later be into trash can.
I ve seen movies in which girls are glad to recieve flowers from boys.
Isnt it already ancient story? or girls can be still happy receiving flowers?
I love to get it as a present from my boyfriend. Flowers are good gift but what do you say....
Advice from other girls need, please.

yap flowers are pretty but they faide away,i my self would like a gift that could remember me of him and which i can keep for a long time,but guys prefer not to complicate them selfs and somketimes they really dont know what to buy so flowers are the answer their not complicate to choose and they know every women likes flowers

ya thats true they fade away but looks good to present someone it's a symbol of love good way to express your feelings or your love...........

i love getting flowers as a gift i think it shows that they care enough to buy something that shows love. it just beatiful.
