Can you FORGIVE & FORGET?

People are very prone of committing small and big sins...to hurt others...including you and I.
Can you forgive and forget?
Me, I'm so sensitive that I can't do it right away. I heal myself completely first before I can do a favor to the person who hurt me.

I forgive very easily almost instantaneously but I don't forget.
I follow the saying "forgive but do not forget".I even remeber a slap which I got from my mom when I was a kid for a real stupid reason.The reason being I called my frined stupid!So she slapped me in front of everyone.That was when I was 6 years old and now I am 20 years but still I havent forgotten it.There are many more such instances which no matter how hard I try,I can't forget.Though yes,I can always forgive :-)
