Anti youth-smoking ads: Why aren't they working and how should they be changed?

I think they need to take a more graphic approach...like if smoking is so cool and looks attractive, lets put some pictures up of someone with lung cancer, or gum disease. I know they have tried this before, but maybewe need to keep doing it. Commercials show the long term effects, how about the short term. The Truth commercials are really good, I think. So are the anti-marijuana ones, because its taking teens and giving actual scenarios

It's not going to matter what you show teenagers, they're not going to give up smoking, and more of them are going to start.. why? Because they think they're invincible and it's not going to happen to them, and it's not just with smoking, but anything. They just don't think anything is going to hurt them.
