Have you ever thought ‘that’s awful! Somebody should do something’? Have you ever realised that someone could be you? Have you ever cared enough to make a difference? http://missiontoyouth.tripod.com

I've made several volunteering trips to old folks homes to help out...It is really sad in there and I often imagine myself in their shoes a few decades down the road and I can get pretty freaked out.

We have been helping to support a family in Nicaragua for about 6 years now. Every Christmas we take part in angel tree type projects. We give at church to help support foreign missions. We give to the Red Cross and to Unicef. We had a foster son for 3 years. We would like to do more, but we don't have the financial resources.

I make a difference all year long...I help people get food boxes..we have a family tradition at x-mas where my kids choose a child off the "angel tree" and then buy a toy for that child. I have annonymously sent people grocery gift cards or cash when I knew hey had no food.. I even mailed a little girl underwear annonymously once because she only had 2 pairs..She was a schoolmate of my daughter's at the time.. Everyone can look around them and see at least one person in whose life they can make a difference by doing next to nothing...

Yes I have. I opened a childcare center that actually revolves around the children, not the adults.
