deleting a post

how come you cant delete a post on mylot?ive just made two post of the same thing the first one i did wrong so i did it again but i cant delete the wrong post does anyone know why mylot doesnt give you the option of ammending posts or deleting them? im sure we all have made some kind of mistakes in their posts.

You can't delete or edit them because the discussion counts toward your rating. If you take it away, they would have to have it take away from your rating. But also, if there has been no response to that discussion, you will not get credit for that discussion. As for editing, myLot has not been able to figure out yet how to allow you to edit your discussion without you being credited with another rating point. Can you imagine if they allowed you to edit and each time you saved it, it would count as another rating? People would be cheating by constantly doing edit, save, edit save. But it would not be really generating any new discussions. This has been a concern of many myLotters. I am sure that myLot is working on it. Until then, you could try reporting your own discussion and ask them to delete it because you made a mistake. Sorry that I could not be of any further help. Welcome to myLot.

May be you have to report the matter to Admin, Mylot, explaining the situation.Only they can delete the discussion topic not the users. There are certain checks and controls which are handled by mylot in smooth running of this site.

i have no clue on how do do that but you make a good point i have a couple of posts id love to delete but cant and there are misspelled words that even after you preview your post you may not notice till after there are no ways of changing that either that i know of
