GOOD or BAD

I think that the answer to your question greatly depends on what the religion teaches. If it is geared towards good then such religion can be characterized as a good one. It is good when te religion encourages the believers to only do what is right, fair and just.

religion is good coz it teaches us to be honest...., truth n if we preach n practice the same all the evils will vanish if we analyse every religion preaches equality n the fact that the soul in everybody is same....... so how can religion be wrong or bad???

Religion can be both bad and good, like almost everything. If it makes people better beings, it's good, if it makes people hate other people and makes them do bad things, it's a bad thing, I guess. It's all about the way it's used.

I'm not religious but I don't think it's bad as long as people don't take it to the extreme, everybody can have their own religion as long as they don't can live with other people's from different religions and respect each other.

Religion is a personal choice. No one can say its a good or bad. This is a very sentimental issue. I am not sure what exactly u mean with ur discussion pls make it more clearer

religion is the cause of 99% of war - that can't be good can it? I'm forever hearing in the news, about priests/vicars etc abusing children - crimes against children are the most horrific, evil things i can think of... religion causes people to do some stupid things - followers of a religion are like sheep - they follow mindlessly, doing things inn the name of a god they don't even understand how to worship in the first place (take the "christians," if jesus christ ever turns up again, I think the last thing he's gonna want to see is hundreds of people wearing crosses, worshipping in morbid discomfort, surrounded by buried bodies, with a cross stuck on top of the building) It's good to have faith, but why in something that has no effect upon your day to day life whatsoever? I have faith - in myself my family and friends, I even believe in a higher power - but i don't for a second pretend to know what that higher power/being is lead your own life the way you think you should, use your own judgement, make your own morals, be nice to people, accept them for what they are. treat people how you'd like to be treated - most religions say this last one anyway, but none of them actually do it about the only exception i can think of is buddhism - and even that has it's dark history so yes, on the whole, i believe religion is the root of all evil. I believ in freedom - of speech, thought, mind and body... if you cause no harm to others - where's the harm? your life is yours, no one elses. happy mylot day.
