Why would a guy continually tell you he is going to call and doesn't?

I am an adult he is an adult. Why would he keep texting me about stuff and say he is going to call and not? It just makes no sense to me. I wouldn't wonder if this had not been going on for 2 weeks. Just curious..any thoughts? Thanks!

I think he either got very tied up with something whenever he tried to call you or he was never serious about calling you and talking about whatever you two like to talk about. I think he should have tried to call you at some point, even if it was just briefly if he was very busy with work. I would not tell someone that I will call and not call them. I think that is being rude. I would make time to call someone even if I was very busy.

Well he did call last night (a night later than he said he would this time) and apologized and invited me out and we had a wonderful time once again but now onto the next round we are supposed to go out Fri and Sat but I will once again be in doubt. But as I said he had good reasons (that I believe for the moment) for being delayed in his call but who knows guess tomorrow will tell for sure.

well the guy just playing safe. he said he wil called you but actually not. Well obviously he is not really that serious or perhaps busy. So if he called you, you will not be suprised because he said but if not you wonder but after he called he can said a reason. so its very safe.

Maybe he is scared to call. He might be playing games with you for whatever reason. Some guys like to see how long they can string along a woman. With all the crazy stories I have heard about Internet romanaces, anything is possible. Maybe you can give him a set date and if he doesn't call, then forget him.

I know we all have busy lives. I know he likes me a lot and he did one time say this scared him. I just think it is odd. I did not meet him online he lives near me and we met out one night. I also told him I would not call him. He said he liked "old fashioned girls" but I also am very outgoing and such but so is he so something is not adding up. So I will give him some more time but if he waits too long it will be too late. I am also involved in an internet long distance thing but nothing is happening there until later this year~maybe

Any number of reasons: 1) He forgets to call 2) He only thinks of you as a casual friend 3) He's a player 4) He's a little boy ....any number of reasons, but I'd put him on the spot, tell him if he says he's gonna call, then he better follow through and do it. Otherwise, quit accepting his text messages since they cost you money too (hand him a bill after the next time he says "I'm going to call you" and doesn't--see how fast that little thing changes.

Unfortunately I am begining to think that as well I just don't get it but oh well...thought I finally met a really good one but he seemed to good to be true so at least I didn't get involved and get hurt. If he does not call by the end of the week I am giving up on him.
