I thought this was cute, #3, 9, and 10 are my favs. Let me know what you think. 10 Things No One Ever Told Me About Being A Mom... 1. Brush their teeth before they have them 2. No matter how much 'nesting' you do before they are born, your house WILL look like a war zone (even when your husband isn't there) 3. You CAN shower, wash your hair and shave in 3 minutes flat if you need to 4. Don't put the baby within arms reach of the toilet paper roll (see #3) 5.There will be power struggles even before they can talk 6. Even if she sleeps through the night, you won't (Why isn't she hungry yet?) 7. He WILL grow out of things he has never worn, no matter how cute they are 8. Soy formula tastes sweet, but is too expensive to use as creamer 9. Did I mention you won't sleep? 10. No matter how hard today was, you can't wait for tomorrow

Yep i know about all of that. I'm a full time student as well, going to school for nursing so the pressure is extremely heavy, i am waiting to get on our waiting list, and the better the grades the faster you get into the program!! My shower time usually consists of taking my sons swing into the bathroom with me. one of my best friends had the same thing with the new baby and new puppy. At least your child will grow up with the dog =) Good luck, from one mom to another

Oh dear! I'm a stay at home momma and going to school. Breakfast doubles as study time, shower time has been cut down to 1/10th of what it was, nap time is just time to do laundry or more studying or... the list goes on! And, of course, my husband bought a puppy, so now it's like having two children fighting and screaming at each other all the time!

3 is definitely a good one for me! Pre-child I was a 1 hour to 2 hour in the bathroom girl. Now I can do it all in 30 minutes flat AND get out the door with a packed bag! Ok, I don't look as pretty, but heck...I'm only trying to impress a 2-year old! Ahhh...the life of a Mom!

AMEN!!! I never knew you could get ready (shower, dry hair, get dressed, put on makeup) in under 10 mins. I learned never to get dressed until baby has eaten, burped, and had a fresh diaper.

Yes, I am sure everyone identifies with number 3. What about taking a bath with the baby to get both done.

yes, I have tried taking a bath with my baby, but he is too wiggly so I usually am unable to bathe myself lol

1. Going to the bathroom in peace is a thing of the past. 2. Hot dogs and mac-n-cheese everyday won't kill them. 3. You can do more than ten things at once. 4. If a tornado hit your house, it would probably look better than before it hit. 5. TV can be a great babysitter -- once in a while. 6. Never wear black before they start solid food. 7. Never wear white after they start solid food. 8. No matter how much time you spend getting pretty in the morning, you won't leave the house looking that way. 9. It doesn't matter how expensive that cool electronic learning toy cost, they'd still rather play with the box. 10. An appliance box will keep them occupied for hours!

Me, too! My siblings and I always made forts out of them. If they were too small for us to fit into, they were used to make forts for our barbies and GI Joes. LOL My sons play with boxes when we get stuff. Drives me insane, because our house is so small and you can't get around the boxes! I feel bad for them.

ALL TRUE! #6 made me smile because we had weight gain (lack of weight gain) and b-feeding issues early on, so I definitely was obsessed with whether or not he was hungry

I like 6 & 9 the best. When I had my first child I don't think I slept through an entire night for the first year. It is astounding how much becoming a parent changes you. Nice post.
