Should I have my cat spayed

Ive noticed everyone in this community is very helpful so please help me out with this decision. First of all let me explain, im one of those people who treats their animals like they have human feelings. Ive been trying to decide whether to have her spayed for more than a year now. At first i thought ill let her have kittens two-three times so that i dont take the joy of being a mother away from her and then ill have her spayed, but shes an amazing mother and she adores her kitties. Its heartbreaking when i have to give them away because she cries for days but they are very expensive for me to take care of. She has an average of 5 kittens everytime and its getting harder and harder to find homes for them. I normally have to keep them for a very long time before I find someone kind enough to take them. Im also very picky so I dont give them away if i think the people taking them dont look very kind. Secondly theres this other female cat in my neighbourhood that she really hates. She fights with it everytime she sees it and since that cat is bigger than her she gets quite bruised. Ive heard that tom cats stop fighting once they are neutered. Is it the same for female cats? Please help

Here is how I made that decision: You have a cat. She has four kittens. You are unable to find homes for the kittens. Are you prepared to take on the responsibility of raising those kittens, taking care of them, loving them and KEEPING them? If so, you can choose to let your cat have a litter. If not, the shelters are already crowded with cats/kittens and many end up getting euthanized. Please do not put an animal in this situation if it is avoidable. My Tomcat turned into a huge lover once he was neutered. Also, my female cats have always been loving, so I can't say that it changed them at all, but they also still have tiffs. Sorry I can't offer advice on that one.

i would never put the kittens in a shelter but at the same time i dont want the responsibility of another cat. mine is already a handful. there have been times when ive kept kittens for many months until i found them a home but i also find it very expensive to feed all of them. just one more thing is it very painful for them?

Get her fixed, There's an overabundance of cats now. Yes , fixing her might stop her agressiveness toward the other cat.

thank you for ur advice. i know there are too many cats around but they have started a movement here where they are goin around neutering stray cats. i wish they would do that to the tom cat my cat seems to be so in love with. is there anyone who has gone through the same thing as me?
