What do you think about the election contestants?

Nowadays,everyday different contestants are coming to our door and promising us of a bright future if we vot for them.I get really pissed off by them.Because i know once they are elected they wont even bother to look back at thier contituencies,forget fulfilling thier promises. What i strongly feel is that instead of prmisng and then delivering,the election system should be made such that every contestant should be given a period of 6 months to show thier work and after that the elections should be held so that the right candidate can be chosen.What do u think??
