chatting in rooms.....is it a good idea......??????

yeah, I find it tooo.. Most of them using abusive languages during their chat ..which is not good..But, I don't think they can prevent it right now coz there are so many members in there which uses yahoo chat for abusive others..If they prevent it then some of them will quit to use yahoo messenger, and use other like rediff etc...

I love chatting in yahoo rooms...It is true that most of the language used in rooms is slang and abusive but i feel we can always find completely new people there The only way to stay away from it is join selected rooms and if someone is using particularly bad and abusive language for u the best thing to do is report abuse against that id... yaho tends to ban the ids against which a report of abuse has been filed

In mylot they have censors that if you type in certain words in your discussions it will warn you against them and you will have to change the word or it will not post your question or your response. As for chat rooms that is a different story. I see it this way if you willing go into a chat room that is 18 and older then well you take the good and the bad. I have two chat rooms. One is for 21 year olds and older and the other is for all ages so the language is sorta watched there. But the owner of the rooms or moderators of the rooms are the ones that monitor that. If you don't want to hear or see it I would suggest you look for family chat rooms or chat rooms that may post that there is no cussing or bad language.
