history of arsenal

well everyone's right above who said "tony adams" also lee dixon was a good player but i could mention alot of older players most people on here won't of heard about. unless they follow arsenal and are a massive fans. Please think of the 70's if you are a true aresnal fan. you'll pull a classic arsenal player who was probably the best older defender who could belt balls and score. =) I've said to much but i'll be interested in seeing if anyone can point out the players name. ~Joey

the only name when u think about the great defenders aresenal has ever produced tomy adam stands out ,he was the rock aresenal defence and the nightmare for strikers

I would have to say Tony Adams as well. He was not only rock solid at defense especially after the ordeal with his drinking problem but once he passed that stage, he came back and lead the team so well as captain. What an inspirational player.
