Mine is one door away from heaven. The characters in it just grabbed me the first time I read it. And from the corner of his eye I read it one all night sitting.. it was fabulous...

My favorites in order are "Odd Thomas", "The Taking", "Strangers" and "Mr Murder". I have read almost all of his books, I have maybe six to read before I've read them all.

I just finished the third book in the "Odd Thomas" series. "Brother Odd" was just as good as the other two book. I just wonder if they are going to continue the series or make it a trilogy. The way the book ended it seemd like there would be another.

I've only read Odd Thomas and it was a good book - I have yet to read any others.

wow! you must really be a fan! dean koontz is not very popular here in the philippines but somehow his novels appeal to me. it's like there's always the message that "no matter how dark everything is, if there is love you can find the light."

One door away from heaven - is this the one where he talks about things like the medical lottery (ethics question)? I love so many of his books, it really is hard to pick a favorite, some of his earlier books are great too.. Lightning, twilight eyes are two of my favorites of his older ones, along with the bad place.. so many.. I really like the frankenstein series (pretty new) and the odd thomas books, the third one now out in hardcover. But cheapie that I am, I'm waiting for the soft cover..in june? "brother odd" - where's he get all his ideas? especially some of his older books, are just so creative in the special twist and idea.. :))

My collection of Dean's books is somewhere in the neighborhood of 35, but I've read several more that I no longer own or didn't own in the first place. The one that grabbed me the most, coincidentally enough, was the first of his I read.. "Night Chills". Several of his books are memorable in their own rite, but Night Chills will keep you up at night. If you haven't read it, find it.

Sole Survivor I actually read this book twice to get it's full meaning. Didn't really like the way it ended though.

It is hard for me to chhose with Dean Koontz. I just finished reading Odd Thomas. Which was a great book. I just hated the way it ended it was sad. I will have to look for these two books. I have never read One Door Away From heaven or From the Corner of his eye but they both sound like good books.

It's so hard to say which one is my favorite. When I recommend his books to a new reader, I recommend "Lightning". If it is someone already familiar with his work, then I recommend the Odd Thomas series. But I really loved "One Door Away from Heaven". I collect his books, and have a bunch of his old ones, too. I love the way his books are so very optimistic. Have you read "Everyday's a Holiday" by his dog Trixie? It is funny and cute.

I was just sitting here reading everyone's comments, trying to remember the name of this book, then I saw yours. I also enjoyed it very much - Ronelle Fulton
