Most times I'm able to fix it on my own or replacing the defected part, some friends ask me for help but me too can call a friend and ask for things that I'm not sure about .. never too proud to learn new things and tricks :)

Just about every problem that I have had ever had. If there is ever a problem I cannot fix, I go to message boards and post there, that really helps. I fix my computer and friends. One of my friends problems was that he installed a hard drive but the motherboard wasn't recognizing it. I thought the power wasn't hooked up correctly through the power supply, so I spent 15 minutes connecting and reconnecting. I realized the IDE cable was on the wrong way.

When I still had my pentium 1. I do all the repairs all by myself. It was easy then. I even upgraded my pentium 100mh to 199mh, all by myself. But the computer I'm using right now is already different, it's pentium 4, so I would'nt dare touch it. So far the stores from which we buy our upgrade parts where the ones who just sends people to attach it inside our computer.

Oh yeah I lived for ripping this puppy apart and doing things to tweak it, but now I just use them to earn a living online and leave the techie stuff to my techie friends, some of which I trained to be the techie they are today.

Some time i use to repair my computer myself. This happen to me when i think that i can solve that problem.Actually some time the problem can only be treated by replacing the defective hardware. In that case i can easily do that by change that part.If it is repairable parts who gets damaged then i need to contact mechanic.

Yes I fixed a lot of things on the computers I owned all these long years. Many things to list here, most of them minor nuisances, both hardware and software. Saved me a lot of money.

i know my way around computers, so if my computer ever needs repair, i can do it myself. but that does'nt mean i can repair monitors or try to solder motherboards and cards (i tried, and believe me, it was hard) i can do troubleshooting like errors on hard disks, memory and os and software errors.
