Do you have a filing system for your books?

When you put your books on the shelf, do you put them in any sort of order? Like according to author? Or publisher? Or series type? Or by size?

Well, I've tired putting them together my author or by series. Then all the other ones go together by size. Although admittedly, it sometimes is each book for themselves aka where ever I can find room to shove them.

It depends. My hard cover books I usually put by author first and then alphabetical and then by series. Now my paperback books if I have a lot of an author I will put those all together the rest I group by type so that I have all the fantasy together etc. I find that works best for me.
