... giving it a lot of thought. "Prayer is a spiritual act and not a physical act" so it really doesn't matter what you do when you pray. . Am i right about these?

You are absolutely right. Though our ancestors insisted on certain postures for prayers, it was probably only to ensure we concentrate on what we do. Now-a-days people do not have time even for pryaers and hence it does not matter in whatever posture you are you can pray as long as one is sincere in one's prayer.

You have to be right! In the bible i have read it says to pray always and one is not always on their knees! I pray whereever and whenever i feel i should! God knows everything about us and he knows when we are sincere, it shouldn't matter where or when we pray! Take care Anjoks. I hope things work out for you to get your pay! :)

Nope it doesn't matter at all. What if you were a paraplegic in a wheel chair? Would you feel as if it's no use to pray because you can't get on your knees? God doesn't care. The Bible says to "pray without ceasing" how could we do that if we always had to do some religious ritual to pray?

Yes, i agree. It does not matter where you are or what you do. Praying should not be restricted only to our home. room or the church. As for, i talk to God even when i am walking, on a jeepney or bus ride, taking an exam or just doing stuff. I want him to be part of everything that i do. It is essential in building a relationship with Him. But of course, i do believe we have to have a quiet moment. A moment that when we pray we really do nothing except commune with Him in a quiet place where we can be comfortable and not be disturb. We do not even need to just talk and talk, we need to take a moment to listen too and we can not do that when doing chores. But the bottom line here is that our heart seek to be in His presence.

I totally agree with you. If we are comfortable, we can concentrate more on praying. If by standing, sitting, or kneeling, you are comfortable, then why not pray in that posture only? God never says you pray like this, like that. Only we people make all these rules.

Yes. We have the same idea about it. Prayers only need a moment and peace and devotion, so it doesn't matter how you do prayers. But for respect to Him, we almost always pray standing or kneeling. In my case, I even pray while lying down sometimes. =)

praying is very important to me. it doesn't matter whether you sit or stand or kneel but as long as you're serious and heartily praying, that is more important. it's your spiritual being that talks not your body...

for me, it matter because if you pray to god, it must be siincre.. and in order to prove that you are sincere, you must kneel and sacrifice for what you are praying to God..
