The honest answer is that we cannot say categorically what life is. The best we can do is to list those attributes of living organisms that distinguish them from non-living matter. These are as follows: (1) Movement. It is characteristic of organisms that they , or some part of them, are capable of moving themselves. (2) Responsiveness. All organisms, including plants, react to stimulation. (3) Growth a crystal grows by new material being added at the surface. (4) Feeding Organisms constantly take in and assimilate materials for growth and maintence. (5) Reproduction All organisms are able to reproduce themselves. (6) Release of energy To stay alive an organism must be able to release energy in a controlled and unuseable form. (7) Excretion. The chemical reactions that take place in organisms result either eliminated or stored in a harmless form.

Well scientifically a good information you have given, thanks for that, but philosophically Life is a chance given to human beings to live to the fullest and with some purpose.
