What does this expression mean? I asked someone a question the other day, and this is what they told me " Well now, isn't that a loaded question" .. but they wouldn't tell me what the expression meant. What does it mean?? I really wanna know.

What they mean is that whatever expression you were asking about leads to different meanings..Now, why wouldn't they tell you what the expression means?? Maybe they were too embarassed to tell it to your face

Hmm.. well, I don't see how that could be the case, unless the lied to me to begin with about the whole thing.. very interesting.. very interesting.

Anyways, what expression did you ask about in the first place?? By then I'll understand fully what the "That's a loaded question" means..:)

I propsed an idea to my boss that she had seemed very interested in. She said she was going to take it to the head honcho and discuss it with me later that day. After a week went by, I asked her how it went with the guy and she said " Well now, that's a loaded question" and she walked away.. and wouldn't tell me what it meant.

A loaded question is a question that no matter what you answer, the response isn't going to be nice or not step on toes.

A loaded question is a question thats heavy with emotional overtones or can have deep emotional impact. Thwe question is ambiguous or contradictory and make presupposition. such questions imply biased view on any topic hiding behind the ubiased words. I mean they can have double meaning.
