How is it working for you? I have seen a major change in my children since I started using it.

i have a time out chair for my 3 year old daughter. it works good. she knows to go there when she is in trouble and even when she feels she needs a time out (if she gets frustrated and is about to take a fit) she will go on her own. i think it's amazing that she feels a fit comming on and tries to do the right thing. it seems like's it's become a perfect place for her to calm down.

I haven't seen the naughty spot technique. Is it on Super Nanny? I don't get to watch much TV. Let me know how it works. I'd love to try it!

When I was a kid, if I did something wrong I got slapped upside the head and sent to my room. Worked for them. Nowadays I get along with my parents just fine, and I listen to them too. Basically, if all else fails, give em a slap and tiem out for an hour plus. And not in their room, they will have fun in there.

I dont beleive in slapping kids up side their head, thats how I was treated as a child, and I always swore I would never treat my kids that way. Plus by law you are only allowed to do time outs 1 minute per 1 year of their age. Thank you!

The good ol USA. I take it you have no kids, otherwise you would know the laws. Anything over 1 min per year is considered child abuse. Its stupid, but thats how it is. Just like if you spank your kids in public, like say walmart, they can call the cops on you. Thats just the way it works. This isnt "the good ol days" anymore. You cant just punish your kids any way you see fit. The government as you say can and do tell you how to raise your kids and they can also have your kids taken away from you. Any parent that loves their children would not even chance loosing them. My relationship with mu parents was great, my mother and I are best friends, but I still do not agree with how she raised me. You dont just slap a kid up side the head, thats bulls**t!! This is why I dont trust people with my children, cause if someone slapped my kid upside the head, I would be going to jail!!

What the hell kind of state/country do you live in? There is no way that they can make a law like that. The government is not allowed to force you to raise your kids in anyway. Also, where as you might have been treated like that as a kid, maybe you didnt have a good relationship with your parents. In my case (and in an ideal world) I had a good relationship with my parents and still do. My parents did much more than simply slap me upside the head at times, and I learned my lesson and never let it get between us.

I don't have kids myself, but I still love watching Super Nanny as well as Nanny 911. It's amazing how well some of their techniques work on these kids. In a lot of cases though, it really seems to be the parents that are the main problem!
