WASHINGTON: President George W. Bush has signed a directive that gives the White House much greater control over the rules and policy statements that the government develops regarding public health, safety, the environment, civil rights and privacy.

Honestly I think it's bad, because we have a balance our government to insure one branch can not out weight the other. Its a form of keeping everyone in check. This is giving (The President) Bush more power then should be allowed.

Define greater controls. I cannot imagine that the other branches would allow something that defires the constitution regarding balance of power to pass. So I'm not really scared since I don't think there is anything to worry about.
